    Default vs head

can some one please tell me if a VN/VP head will fit on VS plz?and is there anything i have to do to it ? and what are the first signs of a cracked head or blown gasket? because i put water in my radiator today and in a space of approximatley 1 hrs driving (not constantly)it went through about .5 of a ltr if water and the temp gauge was at 3quarter temp..i also think it could be a thermostat but my main concern is the head.

I wouldnt fret too much, head are going a dime a dozen these days. You can pick up a good second hand set and swap them over. But first find out if its really your problem yet. Like above, could just be your inlet maifold gasket leaking(very common on these engines) and is a relativly easy fix to pull off the inlet manifold off and replace the gasket.

If you are going to take off your inlet manifold... PLEASE remember these few things...

    1. BEFORE you disconnect your fuel lines - DEPRESSURISE them, nothing worse then having fuel go into your eyes

    2. Drop your oil and change your oil filter...

Not important, but i always do it if it looks old

    3. Change your thermostat
If it's not a Symptom its not relevant, and if its not relevant I don't care!
