Climate control playing up??

Hi , I have a vs Calais and sometimes when I go to turn the air con or heater on the screen for the climate goes blank and the air con or heater (which ever is on) stops working normally only for a few minutes then comes back on?? Does anyone know if I would be lucky enough to have a loose connection or would the climate control panel be on it way??

There is a self diagnostic for the CC units - might be worth trying that first. I posted some time ago in the A/C section on how to do that for the VP VQ but I have a suspicion that it might be a bit different for VR or VS. No harm in trying it though. It starts with holding the "off" button down for 5(?) seconds after key on.
