My 76 year old mother has a VR that has only done 28,000km! The interior is as good as the day it came from the factory.
White automatic Berlina.
Always lives under over head cover, inland location.
Can I have opinions please as to what its value would be for a private sale?
As you would expect, the vultures (car dealers) want to give her peanuts for it.
with those kms on it id say you should be able to find sum 1 that will be willing to pay top dolla

I would be worried about buying a car that only has that many kilometres. It means the engine has probably been sitting for long periods of time, and how often was the oil changed, 3 times in 16 years?

I'd hazard a guess and say between $6000 and $8000 - that would be in the big smoke - in the bush you just don't have the buyers. Advertise it on Carsales or Drive and don't be in a hurry to sell. Cars like this are really not that uncommon - check the magazine "Just Cars" and you will find at least a dozen different makes with very low mileages for not big dollars.
In the end it comes down to what someone will pay, and the market for this type of car is not big. I'd ask $9000 for starts and make your ad read honest (no outlandish claims) ...make it negotiable as you never know your luck. Good Luck.

Even though it only has 28,000KM on it don't change the fact that is a VR Berlina
You may get some people who go WOW I want that and are willing to pay top dollar but to advertise it for $9000 that is over the top what yr model is it 93-95?, for that kind of money I would be more inclined to buy a VX-VY or VS-VT Clubsport with lowish Kms on it. I would advertise it for maybe $5000 neg and would happily take $3800-$4200.
That is just what I think though since VR Berlinas can be picked up rather cheap these days.
There is one on Ebay now for $6999 which has 258,000km....so $9000 for one with only 28000km which is almost one tenth of the Km's?????
I know which one I would prefer.

Yeh $9000 for a VR?????
Even $6000 on ebay with those Kms is a good Question???
Redbook.com.au is a good website to give anybody a good idea of basic values.

My old VR Berlina sold for $3000 with 190,000KM on it, and I was happy to get it.
