    Default VS Steering wheel buttons

Hi all, does anybody know how to wire up the butting to the stereo on a VS?
Is it controlled from the BCM or is it controlled by the head unit?

    Thanks

So does that mean you can't connect them to the standard Eurovox head unit in a VS Exec?

Hi everyone, I have the same issue. I'm looking to fit these to my Equipe which has the factory stereo (including 10 stack CD in the boot). Do you know if these controls will fit to the standard steering wheel (i.e. does it have a wire connector available for them). Also, will they work with the Eurovox head unit I've described? Thanks!

They wont work on the base model exec head unit.

A lot of sony and pioneer head units have provision for this though, you connect it with a 3.5mm stereo jack into the back of the h/u. Dont know what the resistance values of the factory buttons are, so they may not work correctly without a little adaptation.

The factory buttons send a signal down the single horn wire. This is decoded by a module hanging off the bottom of the BCM which drives the HU.
