Hey all, ive wondered why my boot drips water from the inside after a rain from behind the light and i figured out that the seals around the back lights are starting to perish badly, so ive noticed that the light bolts that go into the boot have a bit of water leakage thats forming rust. i was just wondering what would be a soloution, should i glue a rubber seal around the lights so when it bolts back down its got a fresh seal againts the paint. because i still want to be able to remove the lights if i need to change a bulb, and what glue to use on paint in general (for other little things) because ive heard silicon isnt good as is premotes rust ???
don't tell me the vr/vs is going to get the same cancer the vl haslol.
mate honestly no glue is going to prevent rust its going to get worse,
take of the boot rubber i bet theres more under it.
though if you want to "sell" it use a glue called urathaine though that light will never come out.
it forums a strong seal they, use it on car window etc and it will stick to anything.
if you want to keep they car, treat it with rust kill, plate it or bog it and prime it.
yeaa the vs is getting cancerlol, yea its a keeper i dont want to sell it coz its in good condition and well looked after as we have had it pretty much all life and only just handed down to me. well i will look into it but yea sounds like just get the rust fixed and try somehow fix the leak. thanks
