To check the DFI , coil pack leads ect myself. Can anyone shed any light on the correct way to do so
I cant afford to pay some jockey when I suspect that I can do it myself to sort out my cars issues of sluggishness under load. Small incline and 3500 revs and she doesnt kick into top gear (Auto95 VR) and down the other side of the hill it shakes and shudders and has no power
Any advice is so appreciated
BTW, I just replaced the Crank sensor with a new the other day.
Spark plug leads are easy, just take them off and resistance check them, the maximum resistance is higher for the longer ones. I can't remember the maximum allowable off hand but I can check if you don't have a manual.
I don't know how you would check the DFI with a multimeter however the coil packs are essentially 2 coils of wire and they would have a set resistance you could measure.
It sounds liek it may be a faulty lead so I would start there and let us know how it goes back here.
