hey all,i recentle changed the inlet manifold gasket in my vr.was just wondering if the botls on the manifold itself had to go on in any special order.i think i did it properly but its still blowing a little smoke when i start it.

G'day prob needs valve stem seals doing if it blows on start up

Is it a real hard job mate? just found mine is leaking and oil in the coolent. not head gasket i dont think

The inlet manifold bolts have to be tightened up in a certain order to avoid warping the inlet manifold.The bolts have to tightened to a set tension as well,otherwise the inlet manifold gasket can fail again prematurely if they are tightened up too tight or not tightened up enough..
