Is there something more that the wiring harness does ?
Nick
you didnt just get a getrag manual ecu not a T5 one
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong

its a t5 ecu all came out of the same running car... and nick it was just easiest for me to buy the harness concidering it was only $30, i heard they can get up to like $150... and never heard of the conversion bible lol... sorry if i sound like a retard...![]()
opps wont do that again
Not a retard at all Johnsy, I have a car that had a conversion done before I got it and wanted to know if there was other things that still needed to be done.
Cheers
Friend did the same conversion few weeks back same problem as yours turned out to be IAC.
You'll have to wire up the vehicle speed sensor to the ecu properly. The engine light comes on when you're slowing down and it stalls when coming to a stop, correct?
correct maldotcom2 and whats an IAC? lol Cheers!
opps wont do that again
Idle air control. It's a sensor that bolts to the throttle body.
i had the same problem been stumped for months, car drove fine idled fine but stalled when coming to a stop and light came on looked at the ecu loom and a wire was out turns out the purple white wire for speed sensor put it pin d2 thought bingo, still no go the wire was broken 6 inches up the loom and joined bodgey soldered it and works fine. without speed sensor the injectors dont cut out on deceleration and when u come to a stop the IAC opens up for a little more air, but without it it just floods it asnd conks out good luck mate
I got that problem to where the idle moves up and down as I slow down but idles fine when stoped in or out of gear, Auto. Would this be the same problem?
