Taking the bulb out won't get you through a RWC.

The light comes on, then goes out to indicate the system is working correctly, including the bulb.

Hey mate my airbag light is on all the time too, but it still passed a roadworthy. does it have an aftermarket steering wheel? or has it copped a knock on the front you're not aware of? Anyway give your Holden dealer a call they can fix it and its not overly expensive

A common cause of the airbag light is when the owner either partially fits a new stereo or has the dash partially removed and then turns the ignition on. Either Holden or an auto elec with the right tool can reset it for you. I've seen where people wire the airbag bulb up with the SRS light so it comes on and then goes out, but that really puts you at serious risk if you have a prang.

check the drivers steering wheel horn pad for lumps/or being uneven when u run your hand over it. good sign of a shaged airbag if it is replace it and i think you can clear the code by disconnecting battery for a while.

Yeah, as menara said it might be the fuse. I used my air bags fuse to replace my blown brake lights fuse for a drive home one night and that light was on.

No you can't, you need a tech 1 tool to clear the air bag code and turn the light off if that is the problem.

Any idea on the cost to do this, mine goes on when I accelerate and goes off when I brake?

You may have a fault in the wiring if it does that.
