Just replaced my intake manifold gasket and found that one of my injectors had a crack. So I ordered some re-manufactured injectors. So my car has been sitting in the shed with the plenum off and injectors out for about a week now waiting for the new injectors to arrive.
I am hoping to replace the injectors and get it all back together tonight but after doing some searching I have read that I am meant to de-pressurise my fuel system before replacing them by removing the fuel pump relay and turning the motor over. Is this necessary? Is there some other way of doing as I dont want to put everything back together just to turn over the motor and then pull it apart again?
the fuel system would of depressurized when you took your fuel hoses off to remove the injectors/rails.
The way to do it is with the car running, remove either the fuel pump fuse or the fuel pump relay, then the car will stall, thus leave it mostly depressurized

if the injectors and plenum are already removed, there will be now pressure in the fuel system anyway.
its only to stop fuel spraying everywhere anyway
Ah ok cool, I thought that may be the case but I figured better safe than sorry
Thanks guys
