Stealthy reckons he doesn't but then I get the distinct impression Stealthy thinks he's gods gift to driving, so anything he says is redundant as far as I'm concerned.

Millions of drivers manage to get home safely with single spinner diffs everyday and yet SOMEHOW Spools are a better idea.

As I said, there is only one reason you would want one. Everything else that has been stated is a bad excuse for having them. Let go of yourselves boys, it'll turn blue and fall off.
    Well put...

I'm not gods gift to driving, i just dont drive outside my limits, or my cars limits, which is the reason my car has lasted so long without being smashed......and is the key mistake people like in that news article make.
What ever you do, don't get a car with decent horsepower!

    You lucky bastards

I remember i read someone was saying a vn JUST got in the db limit from factory so with any sort of exhaust mods it wouldnt be legal? (well thats in aus) Do you guys have the 90db limit?

I know mine isn't, has a 2.5" with 2 mufflers, highflow cat and extractors.....

Mate give it up, some people like them, some dont.... The reason ALOT (not all) of people have them is for grip, not the opposite... But also the predictability if it does lose traction, and lets not forget the strenth.
The people who buy a spool just for wet weather twin peggers are doing it for the wrong reason, sure they are great for burnouts but when your not using them for smoking the tyres they are actually quite fun to drive despite what alot of people say

So you mod your car how you want, and we will mod ours how we want

both my VN and missus VS passed there last WOF inspections at a proper VTNZ testing station. go figure
A garage across the street from work does my WOFs. He doesnt have any bias to try and sell me parts or do any work because he knows Im a mechanic and can probably get a lot of things cheaper than he can. Also, every 10,000 ks while im dropping the oil I also check for play in front wheel bearings and check shocks for leaks.

So in other words, since the car was supposedly owned by an old guy once in it's life, you thought that had to be enough reason not to ask questions about the car you were just about to purchase?

Also take blame for you're actions on the road, don't try to blame you're age, tire condition, the weather at the time, or you're mini spool, not even any other crap you can think of to get out of the fact that you were hooning or just cant drive.
Some people might be VERY offended if you start throwing that name around here OK.
