Starter motor fitment
Hi everyone I have just taken my mates starter motor off his 96 VS 5 speed the old one is a 10 tooth NO Nose cone starter but it didnt sit flush with the bellhousing, the new starter is the same but it still makes the same grinding sound as the old one, Have i got the wrong starter or is there a problem with the car

I cannot tell you if your one is the wrong one, but I can tell you that the auto and manual Commo's have different starter motors.

grinding? you sure it's on there properly?
dont the manual ones need to be adjusted/shimmed so they mexh properly?
