Hi I want to lower my vs ute before cruise for charity next weekend but have a few options to consider.
I was initially going to put superlow king springs in all round but one of the guys at work told me to reset my normal springs?
I've read a few other posts and have noticed people putting different sizes in the front and rear to make it level?
Should I go superlow front super super lows rear or super super low all round or get the normal ones reset?
All help appreciated,
Cheers
hey mate,
i personly wouldnt reset stock springs. I got my full suspension setup for my vs ute for $800, thats including sl king spirings all round, monroe lowerd struts, monroe lowerd shocks and adjustable parnhead rod. all brand new and i brought these parts from different sites over the internet and u can find the lost and cost for each part in my build( click that link below)
I put it all in myself and found it quiet easy.
with the different springs front and rear, sl all round will make it sit higher in the back end so alot of people go sl front and ultra low rear, this will level the car out.
I went sl all round simply because i may need to take slight loads in the rear for work and ultra lows wont suit that. U have to also cut your bumpstops down to suit the lowersprings.
Look over this forum and get some ideas from other vs utes and see what you like.
here is myute on sl all round....

thanks for that i it helped heaps im thinking of going for the sl and ssl option, Im a first year mechanic apprentice so i can buy my spings discounted through work its pretty cool and cheaper than the netthanks for the picture too i might order them tomorrow then, i don't have enough for the low struts but i should beable to do them in a few weeks, il put lowered shocks in the back though it should be fine with the normal struts for a very short period of time right?
yer well i orded struts at the last moment only because i didnt wanna sacrafise ride comfort, but alot of people stick with the old struts for a while. but beware they will be rotted in no time. ecspecially if they are the standard ones.
it might be worth while just doing struts and springs at once, saves u have to pull it all apart twice?
