    Default battery drain

i got my alternator replaced today but now the battery goes flat within 30min...seems to only do it when i use the central locking...and it wont jump start unless i put the negative jumper cable on a metal part of the motor..so :

what could be causeing the battery to be going flat so quick?
and could it be the the central locking or something like the earth wire from the battery not being earthed causing an issue?

p.s i got the alternator replaced due to it burning out...eg electrical burning smell
