vr rear end problem please help

when i take off or put the boot into it i get a vibration and grinding sound from the back of the car it goes away almost straight away but if i take off gently i don't get it also there is a bang as i put it into drive or revers but its not as bad in reverse

Without being able to hear it personally my _guess_ would be universal joint or centre bearing on the tailshaft. More probably the centre bearing by your description.

Id say the same thing. the center bearing sounds ####ed. :/
