    Default VR/VS Bodykits

just thought id see what everyones opinions are on bodykits to suit vr/vs. i personally think the best ones are the standard ss kits.

i saw a vs ute at uni yesterday that a vy/vz clubsport bodykit all round, vz clubsports mags and even had vy/vz ute tail-lights and i just thought it looked really odd. i dont understand why people put newer model ss or clubsport bodykits onto older commodores, i just think they look naff. each to their own i guess.

    whats everyones opinions??

the bathurst 1000 kit is the best, all the v8 supercars ran them

EDIT and what about a supercharged v6 kitted? is that aloud?
Vs eco 3.8, extractors, 2.75" exhaust, roller rockers, cammed, bored out 20, t5 manual, rolling on king springs all way round with monroe gt shocks all way round, every door has a ding but looks can be very deceaving

in my opinion yes because they can go as hard as a v8 if worked properly whereas a n/a v6 is just fail... seriously why work a n/a v6? just go bigger and go v8 or go f/i

lol I have a Clubsport Kit on my VS and its only a 6 but car came with it on, also has clubsport trim that makes it worse. So once I get off my plates in just under a month I was going to fit an LS1 but after a lot of reading everyone swears by the l67 so I might go that way also.

At least I have no sports exhaust so not many people notice its only a 6.

an ls1 or ls2 would be sweet. l67 swap would be a hell of a lot cheaper and easier though

You're absolutely right! Pull that Clubsport kit off and pass it this way.

my car did have a full VZ clubby kit on but only has a standard front now. it come like that when i swapped cars. I kinda like the rear but am unsure of the front until (if i ever) put another VZ Clubby front on.
With great cars, comes great drivers.

some of them are cool. like my VN was missing the front bumper when i got it so i got the VS clubsport kit on there, just about looks like a VS. the VT kits look good on a VS as well. Has to be a V8 though!

    Default bodykit, engine conversion

My VR is a clubsport, which came with the clubsport kit, but I had an accident so I decided to replace the kit & respray the car. I remembered seeing a V8 Supercar bodykit fitted to a car, I missed out on buying @ Auction on ebay, so I went & bought a V8 Supercar bodykit. I also told a mate of mine that he should get a monaro scoope for his car but he never done it & rod off his car some time later. So I went out n bought 1.
Ive heard about people doing an LS1/LS2 conversion + the 6spd gear box, so guess what im doing next My cars @ the mechanics. Its an x cop car with all the optional extras + brand new suspension.

P.S The matt black is an acquired taste. You see, unlike the gloss & glammer of others, this is seriously a bad ass car. It has a custom gel coat to limit reflection so it will disapear in the dark
