just wondering if anyone can tell me how to stop my vr boot leaking when ever it rains i go to open my boot afterwoulds only to find water pooring out of the boot lid when you open the boot in the corners of the boot lid there are two holes one on each side and thats where the water poors out of one i open my boot lid..
cheers
Seals around the garnish and lights are a common problem
+1 the seals on the garnish lights - had to do mine the other day use the black window sealant that does not go completely hard
SOmething like Trikky said is generally referred to as being like a caulking agent.
another trick is to check if the rubber seal is being compressed by the boot....sometimes they just sit too high (probably from slamming)
so...if its bad at the hinge end, adjust those but if the rear is slightly high you can adjust the lock (Up) or the hasp down the bottom to bring the boot down (a small adjustment makes a big difference).
Worked for me! Now onto the chaulking agent (mastic?) for some extra insurance around the taillights :-)
Just Holden together
duno if you realised but the thread is from 2010, i recon he fixed it by now, but u never know.
