    Default Fuel Light

    Hey all

Just got a question last few fill ups ive been driving it til the fuel light comes on then i go and fuel up.

When that light comes on is there still enough fuel to submerge the pump and it wont stuff up from not havn enough fuel?

Will it be fine to do this when i get the ve aswell? or should i fuel up the notch before the light comes on? (only a quater of a tank)

    Thanks all

There's usually about 10-15 litres left when the light comes on so i say its safe to wait till the light comes on and then fill up straight after. You will only get into trouble if you start thinking hey ive still got 15 litres left i can drive a few more trips before filling up cos you will run out !! But seriously the smartest thing to do is fill up every week on cheap tuesday even if its already half full so you always have a full tank at the best price.

I think in a VR or VS it's 8 lts left in the tank when the light comes on - was talked about a few months ago. I thought it was 10.

The only time it really becomes an issue is when the tank is left almost empty all the time. so if you fill up when the light comes on - you should be OK.
