anyone know roughly how fast a stock vs pulls from 0 too 100 kph? just out of curiosity![]()
8.9 seconds is the factory spec (V6 auto)..... obviously depends on many factors, the ageing/condition of the vehicle, ambient air temperature (faster on cold nights than in summer)... weight on board, the road surface etc, fuel used...
sweet thanks for the info.
i thought it was 7.9 for v6 auto??
I timed my brothers and it was around 9 to 10 seconds with 4 people on board. Did the quarter in around 17 seconds.
thats not to bad for a near full car
mines just over 7 with a full boot and my 150kg ass in the front seat ... well closer too 8

i really want to do mine one day, hopefully i get good gear changes that are accurate.
has anyone got quarter times of a vs with basic mods? ie: extractors, CAI, LSD etc.
shouldnt be too hard too find, everyone says they put out about 130 real world killer wasps with the old extractors , zorst , memcal , cai combo.
yeh im curious as to what mine puts out but im too tight to go get a dyno lol , whats a bunch of numbers on a bit of paper anyway :P
mine does 0-100 in a second
what sort of mobile phone do you have? if you've got a fairly ok one (i have a nokia n82) download the app "racechrono"
gps based timer that has different tests you can do.
my ute with a soft launch and soft gear changes did a 16.1 @ 142km/h. 0-100 was around the 8.7 sec mark because of the 2nd to 3rd change. hits 99.1km/h on the limiter in 2nd haha.
only mod is cat back exhausst
ive got an android phone so if thats available for android 1.6 ill go searching , sounds like a good app.
going on my favourite program, top gear, haha, if the cars been looked after well it wont have lost a lot. theres an episode when they try to modify a renault avantine (v6 people carrier) to be as fast around their track as a evo 10. anywho, they did a dyno test of the car and it had lost something like 40 to 50bhp since it rolled off the showroom floor about 10 years before. james, one of the presenters, gave the renault a really thorough and good service and then they performed another dyno tune and the car only ended up having lost around 10bhp at the wheels compared to when it was new. hope this helps mate

theres a better app for iphones but it isn't free. its called dynolicious.
but racechrono is free which is awesome. it has all the split times like 60 foot 1/8 mile etc etc. it also shows how many g's you pull around corners and under acceleration/deceleration.
ps. those times were with one 95kg driver and full of juice.
With all 4 doors open and the rear lid up ( doubles up as a rear spioler), 48psi in the front tyres, 12 in the rear (soft and baggy) and on 5 cly, 12 secs flat..
