    Default VS commodore Electrical Problems.

Ok. So what i thought was initially a Cruise control problem appears to be a little bigger....

I have recently replaced the body loom in my VS Manual Commodore with one out of a VS Acclaim Auto.

    The problems im having....
My Cruise control ON light is staying ON when the ignition is off.
The power windows i have installed the switches light up when ignition is set to accessory but turn off again when the car is running. Also the windows dont go up nor down on any of the windows. (power windows was the main reason for the body harness change),
My central locking doesnt seem to lock/unlock properly using the key (so far havent tried using the door lock).
No i assume that seeing im having multiple issues (both the cruise and power windows have just been installed) that these are related to the body harness change over.
    Power Mirrors also dont work.
The car is running a VS acclaim BCM.
Im wondering what i should be looking at first as the first cause of issues.
I dont really know where to start as it has all seemed to just plug in nicley.....
Any ideas on what to check, where to look and what to troubleshoot would be fantastic.
    Cheers
    Lane

    Try swapping out the BCM.
Ive had problems with mine that were hard to pinpoint, by eliminating the BCM from the fault the system should be the same if it rectifys the fault you have your problem.
Try a bcm that is compatible with the acclaim wiring if you can, if not you may be able to try the original one.
at least then you will know.
    I hope that helps.

    Cheers mate,
im using the bcm i got with the wiring loom perhaps its faulty....
ive got a mate wreaking out a VS ute with cruse and power window looms so will try his BCM.
Dunno if using a ute bcm will stop the rear doors working but it might make the fronts work haha.
If not will try and chase down another BCM from somewhere
    Cheers

I dont think the ute BCM will work at all unfortunately. Pretty sure your acclaim harness will have more plugs than the ute BCM can accept. Definately worth looking at though for the price. Remember you will need the matching keyhead for the ute bcm and can just change over the key blade to suit your ignition and door locks. If that doesn't work I do have a vs calais BCM and 3 button keyhead I could sell.

The Acclaim BCM is just a mid BCM same plugs as a low bcm. Its not a lux like a berlina/calais Bcm

Ah, true. I was thinking Berlina. The BCM in my ute doesn't say if its low or mid, just says UTE. Would be interested to know how this goes then.

Same, I think it for the most part should work as the ute its coming out of has power window looms and cruise control and central locking. the only thing i can think that may fail is the back doors?
