Default Vr Auto to Manual Conversion

    Hi
My auto is on its way out and since i am looking at about 2k for a new trans (decided against 2nd hand) i figured i should look into a manual conversion

I live in perth W.A so does any1 know any specialists around here??

If i get the kit myself how much would i be looking at in labour???

Will i need to get it re licensed???

    cheers guys

It'll cost you more than that in labour + parts. It's a very expensive thing to have done if you don't do it yourself. You won't need a blue slip though.

I dont see it costing that much, $600 for parts is the avg. Then I could proberly do it in a day without a proper workshop so think what a mechanic could do.

Hey mate I just did my vt and cost me 700 that's with having to get custom tailshaft($280) made which u won't need to do as long as u can find a manual tailshaft for a vr. If u want the wiring harness to make ur speedo work and also bridge neutral switch I bought the harness of a bloke who told me it would work on a vt but it didn't so I still have it sitting there. It was made for vr/vs. U will also need to get a manual memcal so that the computer will know what's going on. Any questions let us know
