Tacho feed wire on vr v8 (other then the coil)

hey people

im hunting for a tacho feed signal on vr v8, i realise that the negative on the

coil feeds after market tacho's and shift lights, but there must be a feed

inside the car somewhere ?? any one with any info hit me up cheers....

there should be one inside the vehicle, the one that goes to the standard one on the instrument cluster.

Excuse my ignorance, but if you have a factory tacho, then why are you installing another one?

im not installing a tacho just a shift light mate , cheers for your help anyway lol

for those whose engines rev above and beyond the factory tacho for one reason and second for high output engines its good to get a better idea where the engine is sitting for gear changes.. sometimes the cluster tacho just dont cut it....

its a brown red wire.

it will be in the harness that goes to the instrument cluster.
gunna have to find it, and test it etc.
