hi all i need some help. What is an injector a bit bigger than standard i have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator on the car now with the standard injectors running 44psi but it is just not right. The v6 has twin throttle boddies. Any help would be very apreciated.
If I was you I would go back to using a standard FPR. There's nothing better unless your running stupid numbers. Which ever way you go you will need a tune to suit otherwise you will run into dramas. You could get V8 injectors. They slot straight in. If you car isn't turbo or supercharged I doubt you will have any issues with factory injectors though.
Mate you could try L67 injectors? If i knew the lb ratings i'd tell you, but i do know theyre a little higher than ecotec which are probably very similar (if not the same) as your buick. I think in one of the SC mags a while ago they put twin throttles on a vx ecotec and i dont think they played with the injectors, FPR or even the tune and it was fine. Who recommended you change injectors or FPR? Maybe you should try going back to the stock FPR and injectors and just change things as you need to.
Hope this helps
it is not really a problem down low its at high revs it leans out to much.
and i have tried supercharged injectors and they flood it.
Does it do it with the factory FPR? That would be the first thing I would check. When ever you do an injector swap you need to retune the ECU to adjust or it's going to flood the motor..as you have found out.
supercharged injectors are 36lb twice as big as stock will just flood go get it tuned
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong
tabbacco is still my favorite vegetable
i have asked you before about a chip would your chip be good enough or would i be better off putting it on a dyno and tune that way with a flash tune. thanks.
When i put the supercharged injectors in i did it with the standard fpr. That was when i first put the motor together.
Why haven't you given up? I am sure I won't be the only one saying your wasting your time changing injectors and FPR on what is a relatively stock car.
i practicaly have. thinking about selling
get it tuned the tune controlls the injector pulses so if you put big ones on it floods think about it
Go back to the stock FPR and injectors and see what happens. Also what do you mean it's not running right?
