Hey, just fitted a set of Lukeys to my vr v6 manual.
I found that the driver's side was a complete b*****d to get the old headers off and the new ones in.
What I did was:
- Dropped the steering rack and column out of the way
- Unhooked the clutch cable
- unbolted the engine mounts from the k-frame/crossmember
- jacked the motor up so there's enough room to remove the old header and put the new Lukey one in
- bolt everything back up.
Thought I'd post this in case anyone else is having trouble.
Cheers,
Dave
Usually there is no need to jack the engine up unless the mounts are very sagged.
