Engine fires on 1-3-5 and half on 2, 4-6 are cold not firing at all, so far new pump, injectors, leads, coil pack and DFI plate checked ECU and engine codes no errors as far as all testing goes its not electrical has to be mechanical and yes replaced head gasket too. I'm at my wits end anyone else heard of this before??
I have a mechanic coming on Wednesday so hopefully I can have my car RWC done on Thursday and finally on the road
how did you check the codes if you are not a mechanic
maby the plugs on the injectors are playing up can you smell fuel if not that's not it
it may be electrical maby your ecu got flashed by a uv light that clears memcals or it could play up with it
it couldent be the valves cuz to my knowledge it is an interfence engine so they would of made a big nosie
it cant be the pistons or rods as you would know about that so my guess is injector related even though you relaced them there could be other issues and the mechanic shop scanners dont always pic faults up ecspecaliy on older cars
I know how to check codes mate keeps flashing 12 12 12 so as we all know that means no errors, and the mechanic has been and he couldn't diagnos it eather but just finished going over it again and turned out fuel pump is causing the issue. By the way I have 2 VR's and I used the ECU from the other one and it made no difference at all. I know ECU's I mod them all the time
pull the the coil pack back off, clean the contacts with metho or a good circuit board cleaner, and re install, make sure the DFI plug is insertered correctly, unscrew it, and clean it too,
the issue will be somewhere in the DFI and coil packs, also check the ingnition leads with a good multimeter, make sure they are have continuity.
and all thought it sounds stupid, but make sure the lead go "snap" when you push them onto the plugs, especially the OEM bugicors ones, the sping insdie the insulator can hold the lead off the plug and the spar has to jump from the lead to the plug and then has no energy to spark again against the compression
