Hi guys,
Just a small question. Nothing major or serious (I hope).
It seems that every morning (5am weekdays - 10am weekends) when I start my car and go to drive out of my driveway my car really struggles to get going for a couple of minutes.
I could put my foot flat to the floor, hear the revs go up and sit at 5,000rpm and the car would only do about 3 - 5km/h, basically a crawl, going out of my driveway. It isn't until i'm about half way down my street that the car starts to react more appropriately to the acceleration I give it.
This morning I let my car warm up for about 10mins before attempting to drive out of my driveway, but it made no difference.
Are other peoples cars like this? Is this a problem that could be fixed or just normal for a car it's age (VS Sedan - 225,000kms) The reason I ask is that I've owned to previous cars that have never done this before.
Thanks.
Sound like the gear box is slipping Check the fluid level.
probz not a fantastic idea to be revving it to 5k when its cold..
