Morning all,
Had a problem with the windscreen wiper fluid since I got this car, there is obviously a block somewhere in the system as I can fill the container and see the level sit at full, but can't get any pressure for it to spray out. one side manages a few drops the other shoots maybe just 5cm. There isn't any leaks that I can see as I've filled it a few times over dry concrete and found no puddles so I assume the lines must be blocked?
Is this a common problem/anywhere common to start looking for the block?
Cheers,
Jimmy
pull the washer pump out and there is a rubber strainer type thing, that gets blocked up with slime, clean it out and it should be fine

Disconnect the hoses from the washer jets then see if that works , sometimes the jets get blocked and you have to use a bit of wire to clean the crap out of the jets .
there are three types of people in the world , those who can count and those who can't
where abouts in the engine bay is the washer pump? my vs also has the windscreen washer issue. i have disconnected the hoses to the jets and tried firing them like that as dayvo suggested but that made no difference so i want to try cleaning out the washer pump as you suggested
ok thanks for that. ill suss it out tomorrow
