    Default automatic box, hessitation

i have tried searching the forum, but couldn't find the info i am looking for.

I have a v6 vr exec with auto, when i put the sucker into drive, it takes ages for the gear to acctually engage, does anyone know what the cause of this is, before i pull the box apart to have a look

i have recently put a minor service kit in the bock while i was rebuilding the engine, the shift issue was there before the engine was out.

i just wanna know what parts i need before i pull the box out again really

It's normal to have a slight delay when going from N to D....it is actually mentioned in the owners handbook. When it takes longer than 3 seconds I would start to worry as it usually indicates the clutches etc are very worn and the box needs a full overhaul. There are some good sites which explain full teardown procedures for the 4L60E box....check on GOOGLE.
    Good Luck.
