Electric windows (passenger)

My VR commodore with electric windows, the passenger one winds down good, no trouble at all, then when you go to wind it up you have to sit there pressing the up button so many times, possibly 50 times before it finaly decides to go up. can anyone explain this? i'm thinking the control module? but what to do about it? if it is that

It could just be that the contacts in your window switch are worn out. There is at least one good thread on the forum that explains how to pull the switch assemblies apart. When I took one of mine apart for a similar fault I found that one of the leaf contacts had snapped, luckily I had a few old window switches around the place to carry out a repair. It can be a bit fiddly to pull apart, but it is doable. And be careful when you open the assembly up not to lose the little brown square thingies!
