ok guys, i need some help here, as the title says I'm getting a few fault codes i know what they are, i just don't know how to fix them, which is the bit i need help with..
44, Right hand side O2 sensor lean..
76, A/F ratio variation between left and right banks (obviously related to 44)..
97, Canister Purge Solenoid and/or Circuit (this one i have no idea about)..
so how do i go about fixing what i see as the main problem of the right hand bank leaning out, if its even that, is there a way i can test the O2 sensor to see if its faulty first? if it isn't the O2 sensor how do i go about correcting the A/F ratio..
and lastly, what the hell do i check for 97, I'm assuming its something to do with the charcoal canister, I'm probably wrong though, i didn't even know there was any kind of electronics associated with it..
thank you in advance to anyone that's able to help me with these problems..
97 found this How To Fix Fault Codes 32 and 97

yeah, i checked all the vacuum hoses i could find, all were attached how they are meant to be..
im more concerned about the codes telling me its leaning out on 1 side..
can anyone help??
I would have said the bellmouth has been taken out by someone trying to get more performance out of it, except its an emotec isnt it? I think only the buicks had bellmouths?
People take the bellmouths out to get more air in, but all it does it lean out the engine on two cylinders.
I'd say just replace BOTH O2 sensors, not just the faulty one. If the engine has done 100,000+ kms, it would be time to replace your O2 sensors anyway as they're most likely originals, its worth the money as you'll normally notice improved fuel economy as well. My guess is this would probably fix your problems, maybe not code 97, but who knows? You can go from there.
Also, its not unknown for K&N filters to cause code 76 for some reason..
