Hey everyone.
My brake booster in my VS is rooted so im going to rip the one out of my VS wreck. I was jusr wondering if anyone can give me any tips to make it any easier? Do I have to take anything out from inside the car or is it all in the engine bay? Any info appreciated because im pretty useless with motors.
Thanx
The two nuts securing it inside the cabin are a drama to take off unless you have a couple of socket extensions and a universal especially the left one.

any other info guys? I tried for about half hour today. Took the master cylinder off and a heap of shit around the pedals so I can get my hands in there. Can anyone tell me how to get the pin on the brake pedal out? And which nuts I need to undo? I cant find any info on removing brake booster on here... All I have to do is get the one off my wreck so I can take it to a mechanic to put on... Think I might go buy a gregorys..
Go buy a Gregory's...best $30 you'll ever spend. I took mine out following the directions in the book and it was a piece of cake.
Theres 2 nuts under the dash, its not real hard to eye off the position of the booster and then look under the dash at that spot to see the nuts. I had not trouble what so ever getting mine out. Socket, short extension and 2 nuts. Pin dosnt come out of the pedal, the clip comes off the pin and the push rod slips off the pin then.

heres a pic of the nuts^^^^ and from memeory 12mm socket.
Do not let the push rod (between booster and master cylinder) fall out. This may cause the reaction disc to drop out making the booster useless.
Small risk, but something to be aware of.
