    Default No Brake lights

Hi, just noticed a problem that I have no brake lights working. Tail lights work fine.
I replaced the number 8 fuse and it blew straight away. Could it be the Brake light switch being faulty?
    Cheers.

Did it blow as soon as you put the fuse in or the first time you pushed the brake pedal ?

Yeah it blows when the brake is pushed. Though I bought a few fuses and I had them going for a bit. I would close the boot and then it would pop straight away.

Fault is in the circuit afer the switch.

If the fuse blows when the boot is closed perhaps the hinge is shorting the wire or the wiring harness is broken due to the movement.

Problem can also be caused if wrong bulb is inserted in brake light - single filament instead of twin filament. Check both sides and make sure they are the same.

A single filament globe in the brake light may also cause the parkers to come on when the brakes are applied!

Figured it out, there was a nick in the Spoiler light wiring. Thus shorting it all out.
    Thanks for the replies.
