general drive saft question
simple question guys,
got a t5 box on my vr ss, want to pull the drive shaft out so i can replace the uni joints. im going to reverse up ramps to get the job done, when i pull the driveshaft out, will i lose oil from the gear box? or will it stay in... only need to know so i know whether or not i should buy some gear box oil in rder to replace, coz if i take it out, and lose oil, i havent got a car to get me to repco lol... cheers guys
If you reverse it up the ramps then the oil in the box wont leak out. If you're still worried you can blank it off with a rag or similar. Probably wouldn't hurt to do the gear oil while you're on it anyway... T5's run auto trans oil so its quite cheap.

not all of them. it was changed from manual gear oil to dextron 3 somewhere during the VR model...Originally Posted by cander24
