    Default will a vr hsv 185i computer make any difference in my vr stato 5ltr on gas?

    does anyone know FOR SURE??? caus my mate has one he said hell sell me but i dont want to buy it if its not guna do anything, also will this plug straight into my stato fine? im oreety sure it came out of a vr grange

    all help much appreciated

    If anyone tells you that one of these computers made a difference, they are full of shit. You wont be able to tell.

    nah no one told me anything like that but the hsv 185 motors are the same as the 165s arent they only difference is the chip isnt it?
    doin skids for the kids and doughnuts for the grown ups

    Computer, exhaust, and a knock sensor are the differences. Motors are identical.

    so it wont work properly caus of the nock sensor?

    I wouldnt run it without a knock sensor as it will fault and also it wont detect any detonation. Waste of time and money. Better off getting a mail order tune off delcowiz or greenfoam if he's still doing them. And yes engine is the same, differences are as outlined above^^^^
