Hey guys,
I have a vs ute with 20s and ultra lows all round but the front sits lower than the back.
I like how low the front is but i want the back lower.
so......is there anything lower than ultra lows??
if not what can i do???
thanks
Why the hell would you want anything lower then ultra lows?
You might as well just remove the spring.
you can go and get the springs reset by some guys at performance shops they heat up the spring and then compress it to the size you want my mate had it done in his vt looks pretty phat
I'm with Soop on this. WHY? Can your car even go over speed-bumps?

yea well ive seen it for myself so you can go lower but yea you got a point he cant really go over speed humps as its scraped really bad everytime without fail lol pretty funny I just have ultras in the rear and supers in the front and the utes always sit lower the the front as they dont have the extra weight on the back...
But can you even use it as a ute any more? How much stuff can you put in the tray before its sitting on the bumpstops?

I couldnt tell you that honeslty mate but my calais sits just above the rims and with a full car loads it doesnt hit the bump stops so you can probs put about 200 kgs in it oh btw what kind of ute isd it?
The OPs? Probably the one under 'Ride' a VS V6 ute.

sorry im not following mate?
You can compress your ultra lows or try and find some camira springs, apparently they are lower than sssls.
compressing them you mean like a load of bricks in the back tray and leave it for a month lol i heard that works haha or do you like i said and getting them reset?
just pull them out and let it sit on the bumpstops, will be like a go-cart haha.
Nah serilously you can get them reset, i have seen a vs ute with compressed ultras and tucks wicked with 19's
altho is it legal to get them reset?
its ilegal to have your car lower then 2" from factory i think lol
All springs are legal, compressed or not, as long as they're not cut. It's the vehicle height which is illegal, you won't get away with your ass on the ground, but as long as it's safe it's worth the risk.![]()
so true pickled i just got told its illegal to have it more than 2"
my ute with kings lows and standard bumpstops rides 5mm off the bumpstops. as soon as i even look at the back of it its on the bumpstops lol. still works as a ute though, actually rides better when on the stops.
i assume the OP has cut the bumpstops so it isn't riding on them anymore.
get someone to reset your rear ultra lows and make sure it isnt riding on the bumpstops and problem solvered.
has to be on the bumpstops ide say.from what ive read of the aussie lowering rules its illegal to lower a car by cutting or heating springs so i guess reset springs are illegal![]()

Just get some custom springs made up if you're that intent on leaving your fuel tank on a bump in the road.
Haha in an old vp i had I cut the pedders low springs in half and pulled the bump stops out(dont ever do this!!!) and it hit diff everytime without fail even over the slightest bump on the lol sounded like I was driving an army tanking wont be doing that again haha
ok ok
a spring is leagal if it is traped kings are not
resting is shit as it weakens the spring and causes premature craking and they will sag fast
pedders springs are double heat treated and they dont go that low as it is bad for the car and your life
but if you want to go that low with bum stop clearnce i can help in a month
