A few weeks ago i put a new cas in my vr, since i put the new sensor in the car has been puffing on take off and the engine rough, only when cold.I have been driving with this prob for a few weeks.Today my mate tested the electrical system and found a short which was the stereo.I removed the stereo and she is has improved alot.she still misses alittle bit.when testing for codes i still get 49, does this mean that i will have to replace the sensor again? since there is no electrical short as i have fixed it? Thanks.
Did you reset the computer after you replaced the CAS?
yes,but fault code still there
Could also be cause by a stuffed balancer. Had the same issue with mine.
Id be checking the wiring and connector that goes to the CAS.Also Ive seen brand new cheaper non genuine CAS's cause all sorts of problems, or not even work at all.I always buy genuine holden sensors and have never has a problem with a new one.Was the sensor a cheaper one?If so,Id be trying another known working CAS ,just to make sure the new one is not the problem..
Thanks guys for your replies, i'll be getting a new cas and see if that fixes it, as the wiring and connector is ok.
