    Default Best exhaust size for VS 5.0L Ute?

    Want to know whats the best size exhaust for a 5.0L Vs Ute 2.5in or 3in going for sound more than performance.

    IMO nothing beats the sound of a twin. A 2 1/2" can sound good, but a 3" is louder. It all depends on what YOU like.

    Im currently in the same boat as you, but some of the quotes ive been given for a twin 2 1/2" system are insane, Not_an_Abba_Fan how much for a twin system with mufflers and hotdogs? because ive got the cats and headers sitting at home here. I just want my ute to sound as tough as possible!

    3" for sure then if your only after noise. I went 3" but had it setup to be a bit quiet instead of going for full wank factor

    Unfortunately no one makes an off the shelf system like this. It will have to be custom made and I would say you would be looking at around $1200-$1300 for something like that.

    twin 2.5 will be the go if you want usuable torque.
