Auto problem

gday everyone
got a problem with the vs, if this topic is already around is there a link?

anyway, car seems to take ages to get into 2nd then 3rd when accelerating.
eg, ill take off ( not hard) and then gear one will rev hihger, then at gear change it will stay at the high revs then slowly change into 2nd, and same thing happens to gear 3 and 4
any suggestions as to what it could be?

Yer your gearbox is probably shot mate. I had the same problem but with 3rd into 4th but and yer we only have one auto shop in gladdy and i was addvised to just buy another box cause it would be cheaper thaning fixing mine. And i think he was saying it had something to do with the friction pads in the box but i had a heap of forgien material in my oil so if your oil is still clear then it mite be a solinoid or something.

cheers mate, the missus dad is a mechanic n he said it could be the modulator, which is some sorta vacuum that could be faulty.
but like you sed probly would be cheaper jus to get a new one.
not happy but, wanted to sell it soon n get a ute
