    Default Cruise Control

    Hey guys,

    How hard is it to put cruise control onto a VS V8 Exec? just curiouse cause i have a VR V6 berlina with all the good gear on it and wanna put some of it into the VS.

    Lightbulb cruse control

    Had a problem with cruise control not working with lights on.see my thread for more details..
    Fixed it by changing the blown tail/brake light globe. it had shorted to to both circuits $2.oo fix.

    nah the cruise control isnt in it yet i want to hook it up but i am unsure how to go about it and how easy iti is to do.

    You need the indicator stalk, The wiring needs to be there otherwise its not really worth doing.
    I put it in mine after i did a full body loom swap but thats a fairly big job haha.
    So if wiring is there all you need to do is install the crusie/indicator stalk, Install the brake pedal button (this goes in one of hte holes near where the brake button is on the base of the pedal
    and then mount the cruise modual in your engine bay and hook it up to the body loom and the throttle body.
    Its fairly easy if all the wiring is there already for you
    Some say less talk more action. But I rekon more torque less traction!

    yes the cruise control wiring is the drama ...if it is installed from new the cruise control wiring will be in the main loom all taped together...there were dealer fitted systems however that have just the cruise loom as a complete separate unit...if you could find one of those it would be quite easy to install.

    Yeah im going thru the same thing-adding all the dealer fitted cruise stuff.I grabbed a MID Series BCM from a VR Berlina in case i can't get it to work,ill get the two key heads and fit the BCM to run it
