well ive been thinking. everyone is going big wheels and tyres on their commodores now (except for the people on stockies) and i havent seen anyone on old school wheels like convo pro's, pro stars etc.
do you think that they could work on a newer car rather than the classic holdens? i think they might be able to if the car is really low. i haven't even seen any fotochops of modern ish cars with classic wheels.
heres a late 90's camaro with convo pros on it, what do you think.
its certainly a different style compared with the big wheels craze that keeps on going now, but the ride quality would be that much better. and i think fat tyres look cool, but then again i do like classic cars.
i have a classic car as well as the vs, but i just wonder what it would look like with classic style wheels.
my vb commodore doesnt have good wheels on it at the moment so i can just swap them over. i might get a fotochop done and post it up.
If you like the look then do it. Who cares what people think.
Welcome to the internet where people have opinions that you might not like
i enquired about convo pros on a vk and the bloke at the shop told me they werent for street use as the metal would buckle very easily if you hit a pot hole etc.
Do it,it will look killa in Convo's.
Is there a correct offset for your model without housing mods ect.
i have seen commos with convos before infact another forum im a member of most of the guys with commodores have drag wheels infact 80% of the members have drag cars
On CalaisTurbo.com.au there's some pictures of a black VR/VS sedan with a blower through the bonnet with huge Convos (I think they are 10" wide) on it & it looks fat
Old mate down the road from from me has drag ways on his vn looks hot
I reckon it'll look freakin sweet man, go for it!
If you're going VS caprice wheels, id go VS calais wheels over them, quite similar but look a lot better.
