VR VS Commodore Sedan Tail Lights Suits Calais Berlina - eBay Tail Lights, Lights, Indicators, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 03-Sep-10 19:06:52 AEST)
They say non genuine product but do they look out of place compared to genuine items?
they look just like berlina, calais, clubby tail lights mate.
you have to ask yourself though mate, how much would a wreckers or even holden sell these for? 120 bucks + postage seems alittle steep for something that isn't genuine, however if this doesn't bother you, then yea they look just alike.
I might have some of these for sale in the coming week. I reckon $120 is abit steep![]()
Genuine is even more expensive. It's ridiculous the price they charge and 90% of the lights down at my wreckers are typical and faded.
Welcome to the internet where people have opinions that you might not like
I have those on mine and just sold a 2nd set for $50. Sorry.
i wouldnt buy them. just keep a good eye out for some 2nd hand ones worth buying. they are hard to find with matching reflectors and no lens fade.
Prefer these for the VS commodores. eBay version is a bit steep after postage and from memory Super Cheap was the cheaper option.Holden Commodore VR VS HSV Chrome Clear Tail Lights NEW - eBay Tail Lights, Lights, Indicators, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. lol nah VS sedans are one of the few cars that can pull off the Altezza lights. Never got around to putting em on my old VS though![]()
I've been on the look out for genuine calais ones in good nick for a while. Maybe i'll get the ebay ones...
No offense Red but i'd rather unbuckle my seat belt and plow my car directly into Super Cheap for selling those lights. They're an absolute abortion.
the non genuine ones, i wouldnt hessitate to pay that.. how much is GMH moulded on the plastic really worth?
you have the option of second hand ones from a wrecker, ebay, or private sale, sometimes its nice to get a new part for your prized possession. depends how defectable your current ones are now.
Genuine will cost an arm and a leg, and it took me months to find a non-faded 2nd hand pair.
If I'd seen these a couple years ago I would have snapped them up in a heartbeat.
The worst that can happen is that they might be built on the cheap and you have to seal them up in a year or so

I was looking around for ages man, at least 8 months till i found a good set . so id say just get the ones on ebay man, no one will no the difference between the 2
i like my altezza's...each to their own im not an inferior person than anyone else here just because they are my preference...i admit in the beginning i didnt like them at all but like Red78 says the VR is one model they can look good on...but for $120 youd be getting ripped you can always find decent s/hand ones at swapmeets for around $20-50...ive bought 2 different sets one at Morrisett and the other at Gosford swapmeets and each ones cost me $10 a set...and thats all 4 lights per set...look around you'll find good ones...
i had an old VR calais that had faded tail lights. i just tinted the red part real dark and put red coloured stop/tail bulbs in so they lit up proper. it actually looked quite nice and stylish with near black and clear.
