hey

Any one know the difference between the deck hight
of the VR Buick and the VS Ecotec.

Trying to get away with not getting custom made forged
pistons for my VR....... Any help there?

well i got a set of forgies for the super charged ecotec. i have solved all issues like pin diameter, stroke, big end pin hight and rod length. so now i need to know the different in deck hight to work out CR and to see if it will work...

Don't really know enough about the two engines but I believe the deck in the Vs is a lot shorter.
You may decking the VR block a huge amount to get enough compression, which will weaken the deck face.
I may work out cheaper to get a custom set of pistons than all the extra machining work to make the VS ones fit.

Yep, the ecotec is 1" shorten then the buick. our buick pin height is about 1.42"

I think the buick deck height is about 9.5" approx
