I was getting codes 21 and 22, so I replaced the TPS and the IAC but still the codes come up,
is there something else that might need to be looked at?
Cheers.
was the codes cleared after the job was done?

Are you getting any problems other than the codes ? like rough idle, or jerky throttle response ?
the big cam would explain the rough idle. Try clearing the codes again and see if they come back.
Well, cleared the codes ok, but they came back again, the engine light comes on when it warms up, if that means anything?
Cheers.
So your ECU thinks you have a problem. Is your car still running OK ? When you replaced the TPS how did you do it ? did you align the slot with the end of the throttle shaft and turn the tps a bit to put some tension on the internal spring before tightening the 2 screws ? Does the idle get worse when you switch in the AC ?
All I know about TPS is that if you play around with em too much you #&@% them, but the2 i've done in the past went in no probs. Did you reset the idle and all that after you did it ? if there is an idle reset procedure for the Buick?
Yes the car runs ok, I just put the TPS on and had to turn it a little to put tension on it and did up the 2 screws, the AC isnt working as its out of gas, due to the motor rebuild.
It does tend to die down in the revs when coming to a stop, but I thought that would be cos of the auto loom still in it, even though it has had the memcal re-tuned.
Damn car
Cheers.
TPS the exact same as the old one?
I went to change mine in my VS and I got the black with grey body (VR) when it's supposed to be full black (VS). Then I think there is one more maybe?
i did mine the other day, make sure its tightened right up. i broke a screw and taped it into place to get to repco had them codes and engine light...... fixit and reset the ecu n they went away... check the wiring.... make sure you put all the hoses back in your throttle body... i forgot lol... to reset the idle turn car o,n hold at 1500 - 1800rpm and link pins 5 6 at the same time as you would do to check for codes. you should hear the car idle drop down and its reset... hope it helps...
Err what are you on about CHA53R. To reset the IAC you rev the car out to 3k for about 30 seconds and back off the throttle at which point the revs should go to just above 1k and you will see it gradually stepping down to 500. Usually.
