    Talking VS V8 Ute Exhaust Prices, Quotes Too Much? or Ok?

    Hey guys,

    Been looking into getting an exhaust fitted here in Adelaide, looking at getting a twin 2 1/2" system, mild steel system, i'm supplying the cats and headers, but some prices just seem varied, ill post some up and let me know what you think. Cheers

    Place A:
    Fit extractors & Cats = $420

    Supply & Fit Twin 2 1/2" System = $950

    Total = $1,370

    Place B:
    Fit extractors & Cats = $340

    Supply & Fit Twin 2 1/2" System = $1280

    Total = $1,620

    Place C:

    Install all = $1500

    Place D:

    Just to fit the extractors = $200

    So really I don't know what to do, prices are all over the place, but at this stage the first place (place A) looks the best, but they're charging alot just to install extractors, wouldn't think it would take 5 hours to just do that!

    Any comments appreciated! Thanks!

    Place A sounds like the best choice. Price seems like the average for what most places charge.

    Alright lads, getting installed tomorrow, the guys there looked at it and said it would be easy to fit, but to me it looks almost impossible to fit two side by side pipes over the diff, has anyone got a twin system on their vs sedan or ute and have a picture of how it fits? I trust the guys there (They are pro's) but just curious.

    Cheers,

    P.s. Very very excited for tomorrow!!!!

    that does sound a lill steep..
    well hung exhaust at lonsdale are my number 1 choice for car bits, they've done heaps of stuff for me a real good price, they were gonna charge me 790 for a twin 2 1/2 exhaust for the wags. thats them supllying mufflers n cats..
    they've taken my headers off on my vs n replaced the gaskets n bolts for under 300, that place ur heading shouldnt be charging ya an arm n a leg for that..

    Im going to AAA in Richmond, friend of mine recommended them as they did a sweet job on his Aristo. Well I managed to get it for $1250 which includes, me supplying the cats and headers, but them fitting them with new gaskets etc, new mounts, making the exhaust, which includes two high flow mufflers and two hotdogs and two chrome tips. I contacted at least 6 different places and they were the best, but that place at lonsdale does sound better, oh well, too late now, next car maybe

    So what are you running on the wagos atm??

    if ur a fair way outa town then it dont matter, to much of a head f#@..
    atm its just a single 2 1/2 wit a highflow cat n hooker areo-chamber muffler.
    does the job for the mo, its running 3.89 diff gears atm so i wating to get my computer made to suit, then idz prolly grt a new ehaust, thinkin twin 2 1/2, twin 100c high flows, twin areo's then it to merge into a single 3'' stainlees steel pipe. or stainless twin 2 1/2..
    hmmm decesions decesions..
    all fun n games..

    Alright sweet, yer I picked up couple 100 cell stainless cats, but just going to run mild steel for the zorst, just a daily so it will do! Yer well what I really wanted to know was, it is possible to run twins over the diff isn't it? Or would it have to run underneath? I'd just like to know, so I know what to expect
