Default Statesman 5.0 wont start after doing heads

    Hey guys

Recently did my head and inlet manifold gaskets, had the origonial intentions of doing heads and cam but decided to get another 4x4 aswell as my stato so just did all the gaskets.
Got it all back together and went to start it but it wont fire, it's got Fuel and also has spark and i'm sure the timings right.
It cranks over fine needs a new battery but been jumping it off my old girls fourby so plenty of juice there. It sounds like it wants to start, i had a few backfires when i started but nothing now.
So i'm stumped i cracked the shits and left it for tomorrow, Anyone have any ideas ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
    Deneo.

Have you checked that the distributor has number 1 cylinder in the correct position?

Some times the lifters pump up and wont allow the valves to fully close. Try again in the morning as the lifters would have had a chance to bleed down a bit.

I assume you have not removed the cam chain?
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

is there an earth strap on the heads on these? possibly if this is off it could cause an issue. but i guess the starters turning fine so i would assume the earth is fine.

Did you hook eveything back up, like tps, coolant temps sender, iac. I would have a close inspection that everything is plugged in properly again.
