i think its called a fuel damper, not sure exactly wat it does, but i think it takes out any pulsating action goin on in the fuel rail.

has anyone removed the fuel pulse damper when upgrading their fuel system? did it cause any drama?
i currently runnning a fuel cell, bosch 004 etc and am about to fit an aftermarket pressure reg (with AN fittings) so i can run braided lines on my rally car
also has anyone run the fuel rail the other way ie with the fuel inlet on the driver side and the reg and return line on the passenger side end of the fuel rail?

No never had one removed, but at a guess i would imagine it wouldnt do any damage removing it. But im also pretty sure you could buy a third party item for your application that would perform just aswell if ur worried. Running fuel the other way should be fine, theres no oneway valves in there that im aware of, will be just a matter if everything fits/bolts/hoses up ok the other way round.
