Hey!
My 93 VR has recently stopped starting when sitting for less than around 10-20 minutes. If you try and start it, it will start then immediately die... Have also noticed a slight stall from time to time when going from R to D...someone suggested the crank sensor. What do you think? If so, tell me all I need to know about it!! Aslo is it worth taking it to for a diagnostic check???
BTW: all leads and plugs are fine, also wondering if anything to so with the fuel line somewhere..has a new fuel pump also.
THANKS!!!
Does it make it easier to start if you use a little throttle? Could be the IAC motor.
Heya, nah it doesnt at all!
Coilpacks?
yeh was told if it were the coils it would have stuffed out completely...oh joy!
To quickly check Crankshaft Sensor. When the engine stops, pour about a cup of cold water over the sensor. If that permits engine to be restarted then there's your problem. Worked for me.
so not true, i got a mate that replaced his ECU, memcal, harmonic balancer and CAS all because of the problem it looks like u are having except in a vs and it still ran like a sick dog on a rainy day, it turned out to just be the metal plate that the coil packs sit on, dont know why or how it buggers so much up but it does, its worth a try...
sorry forgot to mention he also thought he blew first gear up all because of that one thing it was running that sick...
