Default ideas on my engine vibration

i have a vibration in my vr s2 for those who didn't know, does it in any gear P R N D etc about just off idle to about 1500 rpm gets worse as the engine has been driving for a while

i have done: compression test, 200 psi all round (about 1300 kpa) plugs looked like good 5000km old plugs
replaced the torque converter to a known good one
resealed the sump and there was no signs in the sump of damage ie metal shavings etc.
    known good balancer
    than the obvious plugs leads
    inlet manifold gaskets

just after ideas where to look next. if i have too ill spend the day at work on it.

    is it V6 or 5.0lt?
I had the same in my wifes VR SerII 5.0lt. I replaced the Balancer with a brand new one & it was fine.
The vibration was occuring @ 1700rpm aprox.
We started with leads & coil but managed to track it down to the Harmonic balancer.
the balancer may still look good however the balancer may have slipped round on the rubber ring or lost a weight.
    just a thought.
however with the V6 I'm not to sure if they have a balance shaft or not.

Umm actually I had the same thing when I had my berlina, is it constant? if so, take a look at your engine mounts, mine did it for ages to find out that they were so buggered.
