Does any1 kno if a gen 3 or any other commodore v8 will fit into a vs ?? Also with a new trans and converting 2 manual ?
what issues would i have ??
thanks guys
i would say its going to be an expensive venture... someone correct me if im wrong but i believe for a larger capacity motor you need an engineers report as well as upgraded suspension and brakes
Yes an LSX motor will fit into a VS, there is plenty of room, thought it requires alot of work, and it's expensive.
Do a google search, there a few of the fellas on the Street Commodore forum who have put LS1's into their VS's, start searching there.
As said above yes it will fit but will cost a s**t load might be cheeper to sell the vs an buy something with a ls1 or 2 in it all ready
I have done it
It really isnt THAT hard
It DOES cost a LOT more money than just buying a VT s2 with an ls1 in it especially if you dont cut corners/ arent 100% sure what your doing.
In QLD you will need an engineers certificate for the engine and transmission change and also brakes as they will not pass the engine unless u change the brakes
Any other questions just ask
