Noise Has Gone
I did an oil change on the vs today... before that it was making a sharp ticking/rapping noise at idle and when i revved it got louder and faster ...so i put 20/50 grade oil in it and now the noise has pretty much vanished.... it would have been the lifters would it not???? the oil before was black as Sh!t

If the oil was really black I'd do a second change in a few hundred kilometres as the new oil will also start to break down the sludge and get dirty real quick - this puts the sludge back into circulation and increases the possibility of sticky lifters and the tapping noise again.. Do the filter as well.
